RE: April 14 – 3MT Challenge Event at CIGI 

Here are my notes from the site visit with Rogers TV today — Note Rogers TV is filming the event for their own broadcast on the local RogersTV, Sherwood is still in charge of filming & webcasting for the organizers. The organizers need sherwood’s recording for submission to the national competition:

• Rogers TV will arrive at 7:00AM to setup
• Doors open & all tech to be setup and ready for 9:00AM
• Rogers will bring 3 cameras into the auditorium
• 2 Cameras in the back row of seats
• 1 Camera front right hand side of stage area for audience reacts shots
• Rogers will need a house feed from the soundboard – I told them its best to run their own XLR line from our mixer (Local Press) so their feed can be controlled independently
• Rogers will be running cable from the 3 cameras in the auditorium up to the projection booth where they will setup a video switcher and record deck 
• Rogers will setup a 4th camera in the upper public space (outside of the projection booth) to record post interviews with 3MT contestants — this setup doesn’t require any AV from CIGI or Sherwood

Notes from 3MT organizer:

• Sherwood to provide a countdown clock on the confidence monitor. I have used this in the past http://www.online-stopwatch.com/countdown/ Kevin, you might have a better option
• Sherwood to control PPT, Organizer to provide 1 PPT with everything in order
• 2 wireless headset mics for the emcees 
• 2 wireless headset mics to interchange between the 3MT contestants 
• 3MT organizer said that their volunteers in charge of bringing contestants from seats to greenroom could do the micing of the 3MT contestants. 
• I said that was up to Sherwood and the 3MT organizers
• 3MT organizer to provide a hard drive, Sherwood to transfer files onto
